Day 01Ahmedabad ( km / hrs )
Arrival at Ahmedabad Airport/Railway station and transfer to the hotel. In the evening visit Sabarmati Ashram for sound and light show. Sabarmati ashram was the Shri Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi’s home when he was leading Satyagrah movement against British Empire for freedom of India. A sound and light show is organized here where you can see a documentary on life of Mahatma Gandhi. After this Sound and light show we will return to hotel for overnight and dinner.
Day 02Ahmedabad - Porbandar ( 400km / 8hrs )
Today check out from the hotel early morning and visit Gandhi Ashram in Ahmedabad. Later, proceed to Porbandar. On arrival visit KirtiMandir, this is the place where Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi was born. This place has been made into a museum that displays old photographs of his childhood along with some of his rare personal belongings. Evening free to visit the town and shopping. Overnight stay at hotel
Day 03Porbandar - Rajkot ( 180km / 4hrs )
Today check out from the hotel and leave for Rajkot. At Rajkot visit RashtriyaShala that was eshtablished by Mahatma Gandhi in 1920 To impart National Education based on Gandhian Concepts. Today this place is used as a center to impart Basic-education on Gandhian ideology and a Khadi emporium is made here that manufactures Khadi clothes on on concept of Swadeshmovement. Later visit Kaba Gandhi no Delo. Also visit Mahatma Gandhi High School, this is the school where Gandhi Ji received his basic education. Overnight in the hotel.
Day 04Rajkot - Bhavnagar ( 180km / 4hrs )
Today drive to Bhavnagar and will visit Gandhi Smriti upon reaching here. It’s a memorial dedicated to Gandhiji. From here we will proceed to two museums that are Barton Museum popular for showcasing the region’s archaeological remains, and the Gandhi Museum that showcasesGandhiji’s life. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 05Bhavnagar - Surat ( 330km / 7hrs )
Check out from the hotel early morning and leave for Surat. On arrival check in at the hotel and proceed to Bardoli. (33 km away). Bardoli played an important role in Indian independence struggle. Visiti Swaraj Ashram where Gandhi Ji launched the Stayagraha movement under leadership of SardarVallabhai Patel. Aitihasik Ambo is a famous mango tree under whichGandhijidemanded for complete independence. From Bardoli we will move to Dandi , the famous location of Dandinamaksatyagrah movement under leadership of Gandhi ji. The agenda of Dandi March was to end the British monopoly over salt and make it tax free. Overnight stay at hotel
Day 06Surat - Ahmedabad ( 260km / 5hrs )
